Get your feet wet in Moorish culture in the Iberian peninsula, home of Spain and Portugal. Surround yourself in the whitewashed architecture of a traditional “pousada” with an overnight in Évora, before exploring Spain’s fiery Andalucian capital of Seville. Cool it all down in Morocco, within the city of Chefchaouen’s striking blue walls. Don’t miss out on a tour that’s as drenched with flavors, colors, and history as the three countries that comprise it.

Day 1. Arrive in Madrid at any time. Optional Activities:” Reina Sofia National Art Museum, Gran Via Visit, Plaza Mayor Visit, Museo Nacional Del Prado Visit, Royal Palace, Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, Taurino Museum.
Day 2. Spend the morning exploring Madrid. Transfer to Porto, stopping in the historic and charming town of Salamanca along the way. Arrive in Porto by the early evening. Optional Activities: Gran Via Visit, Plaza Mayor Visit.

Day 3. Enjoy an orientation walk of Porto with the rest of the day free to explore. Opt to take a cruise down the Douro Valley. In the evening, visit a port wine cellar and raise a glass to the day. Optional Activities: Lello Bookstore, Porto Cathedral, Ribeira Square, Sao Bento Railway Station, Palacio da Bolsa, Clerigos Church and Tower.

Day 4. Journey to Portugal’s capital city, Lisbon. Take in your surroundings on an orientation walk of the Belem district. Optional Activity: Alfama District visit.

Day 5. Free day to explore Lisbon. Opt for a day trip to nearby Sintra. In the evening enjoy a Fado night and traditional Portuguese dinner in one of Lisbon’s oldest neighborhoods, Alfama. Optional Activities: Belem Tower, Sao Jorge Castle, Rossio Square, Calouste Gulbenkian Museum, National Coach Museum, Praca da Figueira Market, Tuk Tuk Tour of Lisbon, Santa Justa Lift.

Day 6. Travel to Evora in the heart of the Alentejo region. Enjoy an included tour to the haunting, but mesmerizing Chapel of Bones. Opt to visit Diana’s Temple, one of the best preserved Roman temples in the Iberian Peninsula. Optional Activity: Evora Cathedral and Roman Temple

Day 7. Journey to the Algarve coast to the small fishing village of Olhão. Explore its bustling fish market, active waterfront and whitewashed laneways. Continue to Seville and enjoy an orientation walk on arrival. Optional Activity: Olhão Fish Market.

Day 8. Spend a day enjoying this city and its Moorish influence. Opt to explore the district of Santa Cruz and the Alcazar Palace. Later, rejoin the group for a dramatic flamenco performance. Day 9. Cross from Europe to Africa by ferry then enjoy a guided tour of Tangier before continue on traveling to the blue city of Chefchaouen.

Day 10. Take a day to explore this picturesque city. Opt to hike in the Rif Mountains, explore the town, try a traditional hammam, or visit a local weavers’ cooperative. Optional Activities: Hiking in the Rif Mountains, Hike to the Spanish Mosque.

Day 11. Enjoy an Adventures-supported traditional lunch before taking a guided tour of the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis before continuing on to Fès.
